Block paving is a very low maintenance form of driveway and is easily kept clean and tidy. We are able to offer pavers from leading manufacturers including Marshals, Bretts and all Tegula products.

Tarmac

Mackness Contracting are able to offer a wide and diverse range of asphalt driveways, roadways and car parks. We can supply and lay every type of asphalt and again offer a full design and lay service. We are only to happy to advise customers on the best type of material to use whether its SMA, DBM, hot roll etc. We can provide a maintenance service on existing tarmac driveways in the form of patching to a full new construction. We are able to machine lay or hand lay as appropriate and always guarantee to provide a first class finish.

Mackness Contracting are able to surface dress any tarmac driveway or roadway no matter how small or large with 6mm or 10mm shingle to give a very eye pleasing finish which tarmac can sometimes fail to offer on its own in certain situations, without the problem of loose shingle. This is particularly popular in countryside dwellings as it can really bring out the best of any property often helping to add value. Our spray shingle operation is machine applied, using a K170 bitumen emulsion hot applied at 1.6 litres per square meter with the shingle being applied with a specialist chipper where appropriate.

Shilling

Mackness contracting is able to install a variety of shingle and aggregate materials as a finished surface to any size driveway, this proving a very cost effective way of having a very eye pleasing driveway. This is normally constructed by laying type 1 aggregate which is compacted to form a very hard, durable and long lasting base of which the shingle sits directly on top of. We are able to re-dress any existing driveway with shingle of aggregate.
